this is such a huge topic there will be a more detailed "part ii" to follow, but for now...

For me personally photography saved in my life in many ways and allowed me to grow into a wiser, kinder, more grateful human than I could have been without. Photography taught to see beauty in the mundane, have a much greater appreciation of the miraculous sense of sight, it taught to observe my surroundings deeply, and have sense of the nuances of light. Oh, let's not forget one of the most important lessons. Patience. What's the saying... "Patience is a virtue". Photography gave me first the awareness of the importance of patience then later the invaluable skill of becoming more and more patient with a mind at ease.

Again, Photography was a life saver for me, and I've heard the same sentiment from a multitude of photographers over the years. I'd love to hear your story about how photography changed your life. If you ever share your story on social media or your own blog please pass it along or tag me. @alexkentphoto on most platforms that I'm on. I love hearing other people's photographic journeys.

"Part two" will be go into greater depth with more world and personal history. Consider signing up for my newsletter to stay updated with this blog, events, and other opportunities.

Thank you so much for your interest and time.
